I would rather rebuild my motor then buy a junkyard motor that I have no idea how bad it was beaten on or how it was taken care of. But on a brighter note ... since the motor is being taken out and taking apart to find out what's wrong you could see what all bent and broke and from there i "hope" you will have it rebuilt then wile your at it send your heads to a machine shop "witch you will have to do anyway to fix your valves in the head unless you buy new or used heads" and have them ported and polished for a better airflow. Sorry to hear the bad news, I have like 13K before I need to have my 60k done so... I think its time for me to start saving so I don't become in your place. I hope everything works out for you.
